Terms of Service
These terms govern use of Hilt, the HiltPay app, public checkout flows, merchant dashboards, developer features, docs, and related services.
Last updated: March 30, 2026
1. Introduction
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Hilt, including the HiltPay app, payment templates, public checkout pages, member verification tools, receipts, support console, developer surfaces, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). By creating an account, publishing a template, or using a public checkout flow, you agree to these Terms.
2. Service Description
Hilt provides non-custodial Solana payment and access infrastructure for digital businesses. This includes payment links, checkout templates, verified wallet-to-identity handshakes, membership and renewal records, receipts, merchant dashboards, support tooling, API access, CLI access, and related back-office services.
3. Accounts and Workspace Access
You are responsible for keeping your credentials, workspace access, API keys, webhook endpoints, and payout wallet settings secure. You must not share credentials with unauthorised parties or embed private API keys in client-side code. You are responsible for all actions taken through your account unless caused by our breach of reasonable security controls.
4. Non-Custodial Wallet Flows
Hilt is a non-custodial platform. We do not hold, control, or take possession of digital assets on behalf of merchants or buyers. Buyers sign and broadcast transactions with their own wallets. Hilt verifies on-chain payment outcomes and records supporting data such as receipts, identity handshakes, membership state, and delivery status.
5. Merchant Responsibilities
Merchants are responsible for the products and access they sell through Hilt. This includes:
- publishing accurate template descriptions and pricing
- configuring the correct payout wallet and delivery targets
- using lawful and properly authorised access destinations
- providing any consumer disclosures required by applicable law
- handling customer disputes relating to the underlying product or service
6. Billing and Fees
Hilt may charge subscription fees, transaction fees, setup fees, service fees, or enterprise fees depending on the plan and services used. Published pricing on our pricing page or a signed order form controls unless we agree otherwise in writing. Fees owed for successfully confirmed on-chain transactions are not reversible merely because the buyer later disputes the off-chain product outcome.
7. Identity Handshake and Verification Data
Certain templates require a buyer to verify control of a wallet in connection with a submitted identifier such as a Telegram handle, Discord handle, email, or customer reference. This signed handshake is used to support access activation, merchant verification, support investigation, and fraud reduction. Merchants must only use these verification features for legitimate business purposes connected to the published flow.
8. Acceptable Use
You may not use Hilt to:
- facilitate illegal financial activity, fraud, sanctions evasion, or money laundering
- sell unlawful content or impersonate another merchant, group, or community
- abuse public checkout routes, rate limits, or support systems
- reverse-engineer or scrape non-public portions of the Service without permission
- circumvent the non-custodial design or misrepresent Hilt as the merchant of record
9. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access if we reasonably believe your use of the Service breaches these Terms, exposes Hilt or other users to risk, or violates applicable law. You may stop using the Service at any time, but fees already incurred remain payable.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hilt Technologies Ltd is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including lost profits, goodwill, or data, arising from or related to your use of the Service. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the Service will not exceed the total fees paid by you to Hilt in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes relating to these Terms, subject to any mandatory consumer rights that cannot be waived by law.
